The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) has developed the Health Studies Australian National Data Asset (HeSANDA) project to build infrastructure to support the sharing and reuse of clinical trial data. This project will help ensure health research data is efficiently and safely used by more researchers, which in turn, will ultimately increase the health benefits to all Australians.

The HeSANDA program will also increase research impact and integrity by supporting further research, meta-analysis, and clinical guideline development.

HeSANDA is a national initiative, with 9 nodes that represent over 70 health research organisations across Australia. In the Top End, Menzies School of Health Research and Charles Darwin University form the Northern Australia Node of HeSANDA project.

The Northern Australian node provides clinical trials coverage of both the Northern Territory and across northern Australia and includes projects that cover the most critical priorities facing our region – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and national health security including tropical and infectious diseases.

To contribute to the Health Data Australia clinical trial dataset catalogue via the Norther Australia Node please contact:
